Feeling Ukemi

Good morning fine people. This week we will work on “feeling in Ukemi”. Opening up your perceptive powers so that you are able to stay in the moment with all of the moves, and being appropriate to actually what is going on. Staying calm, relaxed, and mentally active. This practice can easily be transferred to relationships outside the Dojo. I challenge all students to journal how to apply Ukemi to your relationships. It is a great practice!

Labor Day Schedule

Hello fine people. Happy Labor Day! We have an abbreviated schedule today. The first class is from 5pm, the youth, teen, and family class. Breathe in and enjoy your day! Come to one of the classes tonight and have fun getting better at Aikido. The contrast of rest and work is really good to feel the flow of life. If you are working too much, not so good, if you are playing too much, not so good. Always look for the balance. Feel the flow of life. The more flow in life, the better.

Me have fear?

Hello fine people! Fear is something that can trap our positive energy and lead us into behaviors that seem logical at the time, but are really blocking us from our true potential. When you warm up in Aikido one of your intentions should be to release fear and any lower based emotions and start to feel positive energy flow through your mind and body.
This coming weekend we are hosting a well known Aikido instructor at our Dojo. This may bring up fear, or the mindset of; I know this stuff, or I can’t do it, or some other objection in your mind. My advice is; Go for it! Release the fear and go for it!

This week at the Dojo:

***Tuesday: special 11am Youth, Teen, and Family class. This is the last of this 11am series.

***Wednesday: TRAIN AT YOUR LEVEL DAY in all of the classes.
